Mission Quest Kids Devotional

A Weekly Devotional to Build Out-of-This-World Kids

Mission Quest Kids Devotional

What is more important in the lives of our children and grandchildren than knowing God and His Word? How do they learn it? By reading and applying the lessons in practical ways.

This year, Turning Point is pleased to present a 52-week devotional themed around a unique quest—a Mission Quest. The 52 topics were chosen specifically to help your child or grandchild grow in their knowledge of God’s Word, and to learn how to apply those truths.

Mission Quest

Each week Mission Quest begins with a devotional-style lesson that inspires the child to grow in one specific aspect of their spiritual life. Concise and clear, yet creatively crafted, the Mission Quest goal is both to teach and entertain, delivering biblical truths wrapped in imagination, wonder, discovery, and adventure.

Mission CODE

(Scripture Text & Key/Memory Verse)

Airship Genesis Mission Code connects the devotional lesson to the Bible text. This feature of the weekly lesson specifies a Bible passage(s) to read and memory verse to master. The Mission Code gives the Genesis Exploration Squad member the location of these verses by listing the page numbers where they can be found in the Airship Genesis: Legendary Bible Adventure Kids Study Bible.

We’ve been “learning it” and now it’s time to “live it!” Following an inspiring spiritual challenge, and the biblical pathway as expressed from God’s Word, one of the Genesis Exploration Squad sends the reader out on a mission—an activity that will help them apply the weekly spiritual focus in their life. This is something to do, to make, to write, to draw, to study, to research, to express, to seek out, to observe ... to boldly go where they have never gone before!

Job well done! Mission accomplished! A little recognition for a child’s achievement can go a long way in motivating him or her to go to the next level of Bible study. In the MIssion Completed section of the weekly Mission Quest, once a child has completed it, they can put the corresponding sticker (found in the sleeve of the book) on the page. Additionally, they will be directed to go to and with the help of a parent, download and print the Airship Genesis Quest certificate that correlates with that week’s study. This certificate includes the mission title, key verse, colorful mission emblem, and a place for them to sign their name. Display with a great sense of achievement for a Mission Completed!

Greater Purpose 365-Day Devotional

What is purpose? Webster defines it as: “Something set up as an object or end to be attained.” In the spiritual sense, it is much more than that simple definition. It is more than an object or goal—it is the pursuit of godliness—to discover the gifts and talents God has given us to use them for His glory. We are, in fact, pursuing blessedness, fulfillment, joy, and an eternal perspective that explains the temporal. It is the highest pursuit, and it is our Greater Purpose.

Discover the Greater Purpose God has for you in the coming year with this 365-day devotional. Plan now to read a devotional each day, to spend time in prayer, and commit to follow God’s plan and His will for you in the coming year.
