Did you know that all the gold that’s ever been found in the entire world would fill up four large movie theaters from floor to ceiling? That might sound like a lot, but compared to the size of the whole world, it’s actually pretty small! Gold is super rare and super valuable!

When the Wise Men (sometimes called the Magi) visited baby Jesus, they brought Him three special gifts. One of those gifts was gold! Why gold? Because gold was the gift you gave to a king! When kings met other kings, they gave each other gold. The Queen of Sheba brought tons of gold to King Solomon!

The Wise Men brought Jesus gold because they recognized something amazing: This baby wasn’t just a regular baby. He was born to be the King of kings! Even though Jesus was lying in a manger in a small house, the Wise Men knew He was royalty.

Here’s the cool part: If the Wise Men gave gold to Jesus because He’s a King, what should WE give Him? The best gift you can give Jesus isn’t something you buy at a store. The best gift is giving Him your whole life! That means loving Him with all your heart, obeying Him, and letting Him be the King of your life.

Take Action: The Wise Men gave Jesus their most precious treasure—gold. What’s the most precious thing you can give Jesus? It’s YOU! Get a piece of paper and draw yourself in the middle. Around your drawing, write things you can give to Jesus: your time, your obedience, your love, your words, and your choices. Then pray and tell Jesus, “I give You my life. You’re my King!”
