Don't Let Go!
When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. Matthew 13:19
Have you ever heard a really important announcement at school (like a field trip, a homework assignment, or a special event) and then completely forgotten it by the time you got home? You didn’t mean to forget. You just didn’t really grab onto it! And then you missed out on something important because the information just…slipped away.
Jesus told one of His most famous parables (that’s a story with a really important lesson) about a farmer scattering seeds on different kinds of soil. Some seeds fell on a hard path, and before they could sink into the dirt, birds swooped down and grabbed them. Jesus explained that this is like someone who hears the Word of God but doesn’t really hold onto it, and then the enemy comes along and snatches it away before it can take root in their heart!
That’s a pretty serious warning! It means that when you read the Bible, hear a message from your pastor, memorize a verse, or learn something about God, the enemy is paying attention too. He loves it when we treat God’s Word carelessly, because that makes it easy for him to snatch it right back.
So don’t let go! When you read something in the Bible, think about it. Let it sink in. Ask what it means for your life. Talk about it with a friend or parent. Write it down. When God’s Word goes deep into your heart—like a seed in good soil—nothing can snatch it away, and it will grow into something amazing!
Take Action: Pick one Bible verse this week and really dig into it. Don’t just read it once and move on! Write it down, memorize it, think about what it means, and share it with at least one other person. Repeat it every morning when you wake up and every night before bed. Watch how a verse that goes deep changes the way you think!

PARTNER WITH us

As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, the importance of family has always been a core value in my life. I have been a pastor for decades, watching families grow and generation after generation come up in faith. That is why Bible Strong Kids is so important to me. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren than to raise them up in faith, strengthening them for the journey ahead all the way into adulthood?
I hope you will join us in this endeavor to create the next generation of Bible Strong Kids—children who know their worth in God’s eyes and are equipped to shine His light in an increasingly dark world.
