Have you ever met someone and immediately noticed there was something different about them? Something warm and kind that you couldn’t quite put your finger on? They weren’t trying to impress you and they weren’t showing off—they just had something about them that made you want to be around them. A kind of love that felt completely genuine and real.

Jesus said that love is supposed to be the thing that makes Christians unmistakable. Not how many Bible verses they know. Not how often they go to church. Not even how good their behavior is (even though all of those things are good)! Jesus said the one thing that should make people look at His followers and say, “There’s something different about them” is genuine love.

Not just love for people who are easy to love (like your friends—that’s easy!), but love that notices the kid sitting alone at lunch. Love that still loves when things get hard. Love that stays patient when it’s frustrating. Love that points people toward Jesus just by the way it acts.

Here’s the really good news: you don’t have to manufacture this love on your own! The Bible says love is the fruit of God’s Spirit living inside you (Galatians 5:22). You ask God to fill you up, and you let it overflow into the lives of the people around you. When they see that kind of love, they won’t just see you, they’ll see JESUS!

Take Action: Is there someone you know who feels invisible, left out, or unloved? How could you show them the love of Christ this week. Write down a specific way you could do something kind or loving that person would actually notice. Then do it!
