Did you know there are over 7,000 different languages spoken in the world today?! Some people grow up speaking two or three languages from the time they’re tiny. The language you grow up with is called your native language, and it’s usually the one you’re most comfortable and fluent in.

Jesus talked about a language too, but not a good one. He said that LYING is Satan’s native language. It’s what Satan is most comfortable with. It’s what he’s always done, all the way back to the very beginning, in the Garden of Eden, when he twisted God’s words to trick Adam and Eve. Jesus said, “There is no truth in him.” That means every single thing he says is a lie!

And here’s what makes that so important for you: Satan doesn’t show up wearing a scary costume and announce that he’s about to trick you. He’s sneaky. He whispers thoughts that sound almost reasonable: God doesn’t really care about you. You’ve messed up too many times. That rule in the Bible isn’t true anymore. Everyone else is doing it. Those are all lies, straight from his native language!

But here’s the amazing news: when you know the truth, lies lose their power! Jesus called Himself, “the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” The more you fill your heart with what God’s Word actually says, the faster you’ll be able to spot a lie from a mile away. Truth is your superpower against the enemy’s native language!

Take Action: Read one verse from the Bible every single morning this week before you do anything else. It doesn’t have to be long—it could be one verse! Ask God to let that truth sink deep into your heart and protect your mind throughout the day. The more you fill up on truth, the less room there is for the enemy’s lies!
