Do you like solving puzzles or playing games where you don’t know what will happen next? Sometimes that’s fun! But other times, not knowing what’s going to happen can make us feel worried or scared.

Life is kind of like that. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring. We don’t even know what will happen in the next hour! Will you ace that test? Will your friend invite you to their birthday party? Will your family have to move? So many things are uncertain (that means we’re not sure about them).

But here’s the difference for people who follow Jesus: We might not know what will happen next, but we KNOW the God who’s in control of everything! The Israelites didn’t know exactly how those walls would fall when they marched around Jericho. But they knew God would keep His promise!

Even when things seem to be going in circles (like the Israelites marching around Jericho!), God has a plan. Even when you can’t see the outcome, God can. So don’t worry about uncertain outcomes—trust in the certainty of God!

Take Action: Draw a circle and write something you’re uncertain about in the middle. Around the outside of the circle, write things you KNOW are true about God (like “God loves me,” “God is powerful,” “God keeps His promises”). See how God is bigger than your uncertainty!
