Love in Everything
Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
Paul wrote two really long letters to the Christians in a city called Corinth. Why were the letters so long? Because Corinth was a big, crazy city with lots of problems! There were over half a million people living there, and it was full of different cultures, busy markets, and temples to fake gods.
One of the temples in Corinth was dedicated to a Greek goddess who represented a fake, selfish kind of “love.” So Paul spent a whole chapter (1 Corinthians 13) teaching about what real, God-like love actually looks like!
At the end of his letter, Paul gave the Corinthians four important instructions: “Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.” But then he summed up ALL of those instructions with one simple command: “Let all that you do be done with love.”
That’s amazing! Paul was basically saying, “Everything I’ve taught you in this big, gigantic letter can be summed up in one word: LOVE.” Real love isn’t just a feeling—it’s choosing to put others first, to be kind even when people are mean to you, and to help others even when it’s not convenient for you.
The Christians in Corinth were living in a city that taught fake love and selfish behavior. But Paul wanted them to be different—to show the world what Jesus-like love really looks like!
We live in a world that’s a lot like Corinth. Our culture often teaches us to put ourselves first, to be mean to people who are different from us, and to only be nice when we feel like it. But God wants us to be different!
Think About It: Look at your actions today through the “love lens.” Are you doing your chores with love (helping your family) or just because you have to? Are you treating your siblings with love (being patient and kind) or just being nice when they’re nice to you first? Ask God to help you do EVERYTHING with love, just like Paul taught the Corinthians!

PARTNER WITH us

As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, the importance of family has always been a core value in my life. I have been a pastor for decades, watching families grow and generation after generation come up in faith. That is why Bible Strong Kids is so important to me. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren than to raise them up in faith, strengthening them for the journey ahead all the way into adulthood?
I hope you will join us in this endeavor to create the next generation of Bible Strong Kids—children who know their worth in God’s eyes and are equipped to shine His light in an increasingly dark world.
