We’re All Different—And That’s Perfect!
Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:12, NIV
Did you know your body has 78 different organs? That’s a lot of parts! Your heart pumps blood, your lungs help you breathe, your stomach digests food, your brain controls everything, and your kidneys filter out waste. Imagine if your body was just one giant heart—it could pump blood really well, but you couldn’t think, breathe, or eat!
God made your body with lots of different parts because He knew that diversity (having different kinds of things) makes the whole body work better. The same thing is true in God’s family! The apostle Paul says all Christians together make up the “Body of Christ,” and just like your physical body, we all have different gifts and abilities.
Some Christians are great at teaching; others are awesome at helping people in need. Some are talented musicians; others are gifted at making people feel welcome. Some are natural leaders; others are fantastic at following, supporting, and encouraging. Some are great at talking to people about Jesus; others show God’s love through quiet acts of service.
God arranged the Church just like He arranged your body—with different people having different gifts “just as He pleased” (1 Corinthians 12:18). Every Christian has an important part to play in making God’s family healthy and strong!
Think About It: What’s something you’re naturally good at? Are you great at making friends feel included? Do you notice when people are sad and need encouragement? Are you good at organizing things or helping with tasks? God gave you those abilities on purpose! How can you use your special gifts to help make the Body of Christ stronger and healthier this week?

PARTNER WITH us

As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, the importance of family has always been a core value in my life. I have been a pastor for decades, watching families grow and generation after generation come up in faith. That is why Bible Strong Kids is so important to me. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren than to raise them up in faith, strengthening them for the journey ahead all the way into adulthood?
I hope you will join us in this endeavor to create the next generation of Bible Strong Kids—children who know their worth in God’s eyes and are equipped to shine His light in an increasingly dark world.
