Today’s devotion

Choose Jesus Today!
In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven. Revelation 11:13
Have you ever said, "I'll clean my room later" or "I'll do my homework tomorrow"? We all like to put things off sometimes, don't we? But putting important things off can get us into trouble!
The apostle Peter wrote that people often think, "All things continue as they were from the beginning of creation" (2 Peter 3:4). That's a fancy way of saying people think life will just keep going on and on exactly the same way forever. But that's not true!
In Revelation, John saw a vision of a massive earthquake that would happen in Jerusalem during a future time called the Tribulation. This earthquake was so terrifying that it made people suddenly give "glory to the God of heaven." But here's the sad part—they weren't turning to God because they loved Him. They were just scared because of the earthquake! They had waited WAY too long to make a real choice to follow God.
The Bible tells us in Hebrews 9:27 that "after death comes the judgment." That means we need to decide to follow Jesus NOW, while we can. We shouldn't put it off thinking, "I have plenty of time to decide later."
Imagine if someone offered you the most amazing gift ever, but said, "You need to accept it today. Tomorrow will be too late." Wouldn't you grab that gift right away? Jesus offers us the gift of forgiveness and eternal life—that's a gift we shouldn't wait to accept!
Take Action: Do you know someone who needs to hear about Jesus? Grab your art supplies and draw a picture of that person. Then pray for them, asking God to help them know Jesus soon. If you haven't asked Jesus to be your Savior yet, today would be a perfect day to do that! Talk to a grown-up you trust about how to invite Jesus into your heart.

PARTNER WITH us

As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, the importance of family has always been a core value in my life. I have been a pastor for decades, watching families grow and generation after generation come up in faith. That is why Bible Strong Kids is so important to me. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren than to raise them up in faith, strengthening them for the journey ahead all the way into adulthood?
I hope you will join us in this endeavor to create the next generation of Bible Strong Kids—children who know their worth in God’s eyes and are equipped to shine His light in an increasingly dark world.
