There once was a woman named Ada Habershon who wrote a beautiful song about how God holds us when life gets scary. The song goes like this: “When I fear my faith will fail, Christ will hold me fast; when the tempter would prevail, He can hold me fast! Those He saves are His delight, He will hold me fast.”

Sometimes we don’t like to ask for help because we want to prove we can handle things on our own. But here’s the truth: We need God to hold us tight, especially during difficult times! When we lean on God during tough situations, it shows that we trust Him and believe He loves us.

Think about a time when you were little and got scared during a thunderstorm. What did you do? You probably ran to your mom or dad and asked them to hold you! Their strong arms around you made you feel safe and protected. That’s exactly what God wants to do for us when we’re afraid or going through hard times.

The cool thing about God is that no matter where you go—even to the farthest place on earth—His hand will still guide you and hold you tight. You can never go anywhere that’s too far away from God’s love and protection!

Take Action: Try praying this prayer when you’re feeling scared or overwhelmed: “Dear God, I need You to hold me tight today. Help me remember that I’m precious in Your sight and that You will never let go of me. When I feel like my faith is weak, please hold me fast and remind me how much You love me. Thank You for being my strong and loving Father who never leaves me alone.”
