Work

The American automotive icon, Henry Ford, once said, “Work is the only pleasure. It is only work that keeps me alive and makes life worth living. I was happier when I was doing a mechanic’s job [instead of being an executive].” There is a measure of biblical truth in Henry Ford’s words.

Man was definitely created by God to work. But work was not man’s ultimate purpose. Work was a means to an end, not the end itself. Man’s work was to fulfill his purpose as a steward of God over all creation. So true work is ultimately for God’s glory, not for man’s.

This is David Jeremiah encouraging you to get on the road to new life. Discover God’s purpose for your work . . . On Route 66.
