About Turning Point
Turning Point’s mission is to deliver the unchanging Word of God to an ever-changing world. We strive to promote ministry in the lives of our listeners by teaching them to reach their own circle of influence for Jesus Christ and to build up the local church by building-up the people of the local church. We are dedicated to the daily walk of our listeners and viewers by providing Bible study resources to help them grow spiritually. Turning Point is a nonprofit organization recognized for tax-deductible giving by the federal government. The ministry of Turning Point is broken up into several different aspects such as Radio, Television and monthly giving programs like the Circle of Friends. Each message that is aired, whether over the radio or television, is presented by Dr. David Jeremiah, and the resources that we provide are derived from those messages. Turning Point is not underwritten by any church or organization, but is supported solely by our listeners and viewers.

Radio
Turning Point’s English radio program is now carried on over 1,300 stations, broadcasting over 2,000 times daily and is heard in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Central America, the South Pacific, Europe and Africa. Programs are also available worldwide via the Internet.

Television
Turning Point’s telecast, which is taped at the Shadow Mountain Community Church in San Diego, features practical messages from Dr. David Jeremiah. The one hour program also includes music from the Shadow Mountain Community Church Choir & Orchestra, musical guests such as Steve Green and Charles Billingsley, drama by the Shadow Mountain Players, and special stories featuring men and women who have been impacted by the ministry of Turning Point.

Since the launch of our nationwide telecast in April of 2000, the ministry of Turning Point television has exploded! Five years ago, we began airing Turning Point in 29 cities. Today, the telecast can be seen nationwide. Because of our partnership with several networks, we have the potential of reaching every home in America! And we are reaching out to the rest of the world as well with broadcasts in Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

Turning Point Television is carried by ION TV, Trinity Broadcasting Network, FamilyNet, DayStar, Faith TV, and Inspirational Network in the US, Vision TV in Canada, Trinity Broadcasting in Europe and the United Kingdom, Shine TV in New Zealand and Australia, and METV in the Middle East.

Magazine
With a consistent monthly circulation to more than 140,000 homes, Turning Points Magazine & Devotional has become a trademark resource of Turning Point Ministry. With inspirational articles and instructive daily devotionals, Turning Points is unique and fresh each month providing something for every reader. Based on the radio and television teachings of Dr. Jeremiah, Turning Points is ministering to tens of thousands all over the United States.

Circle of Friends
With an ever-widening circle of over 20,000 members, the Circle of Friends program is growing at record pace.

In the Spring of 1995, the Circle of Friends program was started in order to help provide financial stability to Turning Point through the ongoing prayer and generous monthly giving. In turn, the Circle of Friends members would receive monthly resources from Dr. Jeremiah that would encourage their faith in Christ and equip them to take the Gospel into their own circle of friends.

What the charter Circle of Friends members started has become the mainline of support for Turning Point, catapulting it into the global ministry it is today.

Momento Decisivo
Turning Point’s Spanish radio program, Momento Decisivo, is committed to support Bible believing Spanish churches both locally and internationally by providing solid, Bible based teaching that encourages listeners to become students of God’s Word and develop their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

 Momento Decisivo is currently released over 600 times a day on nearly 500 radio stations across the globe including 54 Spanish-speaking stations in the United States as well as over 400 radio stations in 22 Spanish speaking countries around the world.

As we add new Spanish broadcast stations, we pray that Momento Decisivo will help to provide spiritual food to our Spanish-speaking listeners and encourage them to be actively involved in their local congregations and communities.

Our goal is to support local congregations in strengthening believers so they are “...ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh...” (II Peter 3:15)

Statement of Faith
The church faith is expressed in that form of doctrine generally held by those known as Baptists, the distinguishing features of which are stated below.

As Baptists, we stand for the supreme authority of the Word of God as the only rule of faith and practice, as opposed to all human traditions.

We stand for the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper as Christ enjoined them upon His followers; the same in number, in act, in order and in symbolic meaning, unchanged and unchangeable ‘til He comes again.

As a New Testament Church, we affirm our belief in the individual priesthood of the believer, in the verbal inspiration and authority of the Scriptures; in the Virgin Birth and essential Deity of our Lord; in His atoning death and bodily resurrection; in His ascension into Heaven and promised enduement of the Holy Spirit; in His personal, visible premillenial return and ultimate and undisputed Kingdom and reign.

We stand for a regenerated and spiritual church, holding that only those who have confessed a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord shall be received into this church or welcomed to its ordinances.

In church policy we believe:

That a Christian Church is a local congregation, under Christ complete in itself, sovereign and independent.

That Christ committed to each church the sole guardianship and control of the ordinances; i.e., preaching the Gospel, baptizing and administering the Lord’s Supper.

That all church rights and privileges are limited to the discipline of each local church.

That no semblance of ecclesiastical authority can be exercised except by a local church. The local church alone can elect, commission and depose its officers, receive discipline and exclude its members.
