The end times are much closer than you think.

Dr. Jeremiah explains the prophecies of Daniel and what they tell us about the End of Days.

The spirit of the end times, or "Babylon," is alive like never before.

Throughout history, Babylon has been a symbol of the world's worst evils–extreme decadence, infinite cruelty, ravenous power, and implacable contention against God. And nowhere in the Bible do we get a more vivid picture of the malevolent nature of Babylon than the book of Daniel.

Teeming with prophetic markers and visions—many of which have already been fulfilled—the parallels between the world described in Daniel and the world we are living in today are positively staggering.

In fact, a close examination of the prophecies described in Daniel reveals indisputable evidence that the ancient spirit of Babylon is not only on the rise, but that the End Times are much closer than we think.

In Agents of Babylon, noted prophecy expert Dr. David Jeremiah explores the many prophecies, dreams, and visions outlined in the book of Daniel through the lens of its central characters, explains what they mean, and shows us how they apply to the world today, so that we can better prepare for what is yet to come.

Written in the same highly-engaging half-dramatization, half-Bible teaching format as Agents of the Apocalypse, Agents of Babylon is not only an in-depth exploration of the characters and prophecies contained in the book of Daniel, but a dramatic retelling of Scripture that brings ancient prophecy to light like never before. A third feature has been added in each chapter of this book: Daniel for Today, which provides a practical application from the book of Daniel.

The prophecy is clear. Babylon is ascending, and Daniel's dreams contain the clues to weathering the nightmare that is yet to come.

Get ready.

The end is closer than you think.

Chapter 1 The Hostage

The first chapter of Daniel would be beautiful even if we didn't have this last verse. But the last verse is a message in itself.

Daniel lived to see Cyrus, the Medo-Persian leader, conquer Babylon October of 539 BC, some sixty-six years after Daniel had been taken captive. By this point Daniel was probably over eighty years old and had lived a godly life in the public eye for almost seventy of those years. He'd outlasted some of the most powerful kings and kingdoms the world has ever seen.

For all the miraculous works God performed through and for Daniel, it's important to note that He never delivered Daniel from Babylon.
